Return & Refund Policy

1. Overview

At Zam by Windowtechs (a product of Window Techs), we stand behind the quality of our picture hanging systems. We offer an exchange-only policy — we do not provide cash refunds or refunds to the original payment method under any circumstances.

By placing an order on our website, you agree to this Return & Refund Policy.

2. Exchange Eligibility

You may request an exchange within 7 days of delivery if:

  • The product received is physically damaged or broken on arrival
  • The wrong product was delivered (different from what was ordered)
  • The product has a genuine manufacturing defect

The following are NOT eligible for exchange:

  • Products that have been installed, drilled, or mounted
  • Products damaged due to incorrect installation by the customer
  • Products with missing packaging, accessories, or original components
  • Requests made after 7 days of the delivery date
  • Change of mind or incorrect size/length ordered by the customer
  • Custom cut rails or custom length orders
  • Cords or hooks that have been used or handled beyond normal inspection

3. How to Request an Exchange

To initiate an exchange request:

Step 1 — Contact us within 7 days of delivery:

Step 2 — Provide the following:

  • Clear photographs of the damaged or incorrect product
  • Photograph of the original packaging
  • Brief description of the issue

Step 3 — Await confirmation:

  • Our team will review your request within 2–3 business days
  • If approved, we will arrange reverse pickup via Shiprocket

Step 4 — Ship the product back:

  • Product must be returned in original packaging
  • All original accessories and components must be included
  • Do not return installed products — these are not eligible

Step 5 — Receive your exchange:

  • Once we receive and inspect the returned product, we will dispatch the replacement
  • Replacement dispatch within 3–5 business days of receiving the return

4. No Cash Refund Policy

We strictly do not offer:

  • Cash refunds
  • Refunds to original payment method
  • Partial refunds
  • Store credits

In all eligible cases, we will only provide an exchange with the same product or an equivalent product of equal or lesser value.

5. Damaged in Transit

If your order arrives damaged due to shipping:

  • Report within 24 hours of delivery
  • Take photographs of the outer packaging AND the damaged product immediately upon opening
  • Contact us via WhatsApp at +91-9958803531 with photographs
  • Do not discard the original packaging — it is required for the insurance claim with our courier partner

We will file a claim with Shiprocket on your behalf and arrange a replacement once the claim is processed.

6. Manufacturing Defects

If a genuine manufacturing defect is discovered:

  • Report within 7 days of delivery
  • Our team will assess the defect based on photographs
  • If confirmed, a replacement will be dispatched at no additional cost
  • Defects caused by installation, misuse, or normal wear and tear are not covered

7. Return Shipping

  • If the exchange is approved due to our error (wrong product, damaged product), we will arrange and pay for reverse pickup
  • If the return is for any other reason within our exchange policy, reverse shipping charges will be borne by the customer

8. Non-Returnable Products

The following products are strictly non-returnable and non-exchangeable under any circumstances:

  • Any product that has been installed or mounted
  • Custom length rails
  • Products without original packaging
  • Products purchased during clearance or special sale

9. Consumer Rights

This policy is in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India). If you believe your consumer rights have been violated, you may contact the National Consumer Helpline at 1800-11-4000.
